Any sounding object was broken down into three elements: a body, a trigger (string, button, motor, etc.), and an ear (sensor, amplifier, resonator).
In this workshop, each participant created their own unique instrument starting from a simple “box” of any size or material. This process included searching for sound, experimenting with acoustics, selecting components, crafting, electrifying, tuning, and personalizing the instrument.
It was an open laboratory to everyone, regardless of experience. a space for experimentation, play, and sharing, guided by the principle “do less to be more.” Participants built new sound objects, repaired existing instruments, or did a replicas.
Inspired by sound artists such as Koka Nikoladze, Daniel Jansson, Petr Válek, and Jiří Suchánek, the workshop explored the beauty of simplicity and the creative potential of minimal means.
